The Oxford Cultural Council (OCC) is looking for new members. By law we are allowed up to 22 members to serve the Oxford community by reviewing grant applications and more. In addition to the MCC guidelines, the Oxford Cultural Council has established the following guidelines:
In order to expedite the grant process, applications should be:
- Filled out completely
- Typed
- Signed and Dated
2. Projects must take place within and/or involve residents from Oxford. Prior written commitment from an Oxford Institution or Organization (Local Sponsor) must be obtained and contained with the grant application.
3. Any school or organization submitting multiple requests for funding must prioritize their projects otherwise the OCC will prioritize according to our judgment.
Oxford Cultural Council Timeline:
Application deadline—October 15. Completed applications must be received or postmarked by October 15. Send application and supporting materials to:

Notification of disapproved applications—No later than December 1st
Notification of approved applications—January
Reimbursement requests due— within two months of completed project or approval notification.
Application Process: Late applications cannot be accepted. The Oxford Cultural Council cannot be held responsible for applications lost in the mail. If an application is lost and the applicant can demonstrate that an application was sent by the postmarked deadline, the council will consider the application on-time. Without proof, the council will treat the application as late and ineligible for funding.
Funding:
Requests for project modifications and extensions beyond the grant period will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing. Modification requests must be made before the change is implemented. Extension requests must be submitted no later than one year from the date of the approval letter. The council will review and vote on the request and notify applicants in writing of its decision.
